The Next Chapter

Hi everyone!

It has been a minute. Some big things have been happening in our little family so we figured it was time for an update.

For the first update, I recently graduated from my Masters of Library Science program through the University of Central Missouri. This has been a lot of work and I am looking forward to using the skills and knowledge I have cultivated to build a professional career in the future.

With the second update, Chris and I are moving. We decided during the summer of 2022 that it was time to move on from our place in Bulgaria to grow professionally. This set off a string of applications, interviews, and a trip to London for a job fair. However, in the middle of February we applied to a school that had a library and social studies position. After a round of interviews, we have been hired and are completing our paperwork to join our new school in the middle of August.

And the final update? How about where we are moving to. I am excited to announce that we will be moving to Kuwait to work at the American School of Kuwait or ASK for short. We with be moving in August to our new home, both Chris and I and Ono. Chris will be a social studies teacher and I will be the librarian in the middle and high school. Ono has plans to make new friends. We are very excited and have started reaching out to future colleagues and exploring our new neighborhood on Google maps. From what we have learned, our life will be very similar there as to here in Bulgaria, just a lot warmer.

We are really looking forward to starting this next step. We are also looking at our lives here in Bulgaria and we are very grateful for our experience here. It has been six years of learning new things, meeting new people, and growing up. I have no doubt that we will be back.

So that leaves this update. We should be ready to write more when we arrive in our new home.
